|- Storyline -|

As individuals we don’t know much about the world, we rely on the information given to us by scientists. The scientists whose jobs it is to seek the truth to give us explanation. We believe in what the scientists tell us - We believe it is the truth but those who believe in religion believe of a greater entity, some being that created us. Some people are un-willing to listen or can’t believe what they are told. Being told that we were created by some freak big bang incident that made earth and the orbit absolutely perfect so we can live and breathe is well... beyond coincidence? On the other hand, being told there is something/someone else who created us and yet doesn’t want to be known or seen is yet again hard to believe. Normally people believe one of these two theories or just create there own explanation using there wild imagination. If no one knows the truth for definite who can judge on another ones theory? What if everyone is wrong but correct to a certain extent...? If people were a little more open minded they could put ideas together to uncover the truth. Putting ideas together though could come out with even more questions and theories and not enough definite answers. As I say, there are only two official theories, both wrong both correct... This is where the story begins...

2044 - The year the truth was uncovered...

The world hasn’t changed much over the last 60 years, music changes, clothes and styles change but people are no wiser, superpowers are the same just as poverty and social divides are still there. Luckily science is different, research has never stopped but gone further to discover new things and unravel old mystery's, like the old classic: How did the world begin & is there anything out there deeper into space. We had to know the truth behind these questions, as did the American & British government, it was becoming necessary to find out if we would ever encounter wars with another life form. So jointly they created a project, gathering people that would be able to find out the truth, they agreed to supply the project with all funds and resources it needed to fulfil its task, they codenamed the project 'Far Sight'.

They placed us and the project in a secret zone known as 'Area 51', guarded to the extreme, it’s amazing what secrets they hold here but that’s not the topic I want to describe to you, so the secrets can wait. They placed us here because at first we were a secret, and they (the governments) didn’t want to raise any tension in the world 'We are looking for aliens!' The project started off slowly, limited ideas of how to begin and how should we go about answering these questions that so many people have tried doing for so long.

Months went by without any progress being made, it got to the point where the Governments were talking about scraping the project, like the idea was good but it was too much to ask for, answers to the questions. This frustrated us giving us the motivation to get some ideas rolling between us - I should mention "us" is six of us. The entire project rests on the brains of six people... You would think impossible but it worked well, six guys wanting the truth and few arguments and all the resources to find the truth, it wasn’t such a bad life... We started to think logical - What do we need to find the truth? The answer was simple, build a ship capable of going far distances in very short time, quite simple really, build something better than NASA have ever been able to think of and quickly...

The blueprints came together quickly, as mike one of "us" found a breakthrough in how to create lots of speed; it manipulates rocket energy and heat to generate lots of speed. Although that was one big problem out of the way there were still many other things we needed solutions for, for this ship. Don’t get me wrong, you would think its unreal to even pull this off but believe me; with access to resources and a few clever minds anything is possible. Once the blueprints were complete work on the ship started. The governments were impressed with our design but sceptical of whether it would work or not. They drafted a team able to build our ship, not any ordinary people, they like us had to be secret and be able to keep a secret and not give away information on the Far Sight project.

The ship was completed at the end of the summer season, we wanted to get the ship launched this year but still had a lot of decisions to make before that was possible. Where should we send this ship? Was the biggest question. Should we find out if the universe is actually endless? Or go to a distant planet and seek life forms? We didn’t need to make the decision as it was kind of made for us. Building a ship is all well and good but without having a satellite that’s able to give radar and communications to us and the ship makes the ship useless, but we thought ahead, we had built the satellite and today was the day it was going to be launched...

After hours of preparation the satellite was ready to be launched, as the 10 second countdown begun we took a moment to just stare, this was the beginning of the Far Sight project, we were actually going to get the answers that people had wanted for so long. The satellite launched and within a few seconds was out of sight and breaking out of earth's atmosphere. It would be a few hours before the satellite reached its destination and became 'online'.

While we were waiting for the satellite to come online we began thinking about where we should send our ship, we had finally given the ship a name 'Firefly', it didn’t mean much we just thought it was a cool name. Eventually the satellite did come online; all six of us were excited and dancing around... Hey, we’re not emotionless... it signalled the beginning. I was the only one to actually glance a look at the screen of the radar it now produced, I stopped moving and stared in disbelief, one by one the others noticed me and glanced at the screen... jaws dropped... confusion hit the air and silence began. The six of us just stood there in disbelief with no doubt the same questions running through our minds, is the radar working properly? Is that supposed to be there? What could it be? The radar showed a huge fleet... or an army of ships that were even bigger than firefly, this couldn’t be possible though. We began to smile as the dots began to disappear. I yelled out, ‘phew’, just a minor start up glitch. We would shortly learn there was no glitch...

Public speculation started as the Far Sight project was being discovered because too many odds things like satellites launching were being noticed and reported. The government never admit to anything so they denied knowing and being involved in any project, they literally said people were crazy and there would be no trips to mars in the foreseeable future. No one believes the government but it was a bit far fetched not to believe them. Although the project couldn’t be hidden forever, for the time being, we knew nothing, so the public didn’t need to know anything.

It was now time to launch firefly, we thought it was best just to get the ship to recon around space collecting information and look out for any unusual happenings. We were nervous the day of the launch, if anything went wrong the whole project would be scraped and the truth probably never discovered. The preparations were intense, things were checked, double checked and triple checked to make sure everything would run smoothly. Once again a countdown, again staring, at the ship - The magnificent black ship, it looked almost alien, well it would to any aliens that saw it anyway. Our eyes glued to screens that were constantly doing checks on the ship, the countdown hit zero and the ship began to rise and within a few seconds was gone, we continued to watch the screens as it exited our atmosphere...

Firefly could travel so fast that within a few days it had discovered 5 new planets and some more recognisable stars, we had found out more in a few hours than everything put together in the last 60 years. We kept Firefly just scouting around looking for new things like it had been doing until we noticed the glitch on the radar again, we were getting a bit sceptical now, was this actually a glitch? Or maybe it really was a fleet of ships... Unlike the previous time these dots were not disappearing and they were far larger than the dot that marked firefly. It was time to send Firefly to investigate what was appearing on radar; maybe whatever is there will give us some answers to our questions...

The closer Firefly got to the unidentified objects the more nervous and worried we got. Oh I should mention - we drew straws to see which two of us six would fly Firefly, as you can see I wasn’t a lucky one. We feared the safety of the two men on board, we didn’t want to lose them or the ship. Eventually Firefly had reached the unidentified objects and swiftly contacted us...

FF - "We have reached them."
HQ - "Them?"
FF - "Yes... them... many... huge... glows..."
HQ - "Can you be more specific, take your time."
FF - "Fleet, no army... bigger... ships, huge ships, huge glowing ships."
HQ - "..."
FF - "They haven’t made any contact and there not moving, what should we do?"

It was then I gave the order that I would regret for the rest of my life...

HQ - "Move closer to them, if they try and attack retreat away, if they want you to land on there ship do it..."
FF - "We just saw there cargo door open, we will try and land inside there ship, they look friendly..."
HQ - "Good luck firefly, stay in contact."

Why would I send them in like that, we knew too little but I wanted to know more, even if I killed two people to find out the truth. I felt bad about my decision but hopefully I had made the right one...

We watched the radar, Firefly had not been destroyed yet which could only mean good things and they were getting closer to the ship they were going to try and land on. Minute’s later Firefly had merged with the ship they were landing on, it meant they had landed and everything so far was fine... Just before they landed they sent a quick message saying they saw shadows in the windows of the ships, so obviously there was another life form aboard, hopefully a friendly life form just like us seeking the real truth about the universe...

Hours went past without any contact from Firefly, the remaining four of us at HQ were worried now, we thought we had led them to their deaths and there was nothing we could do but wait for some response either from Firefly or whoever was aboard the ships. It was late, so we decided to head home for the night, there was nothing else we could do. As we left we looked into the sky, wondering who the other life form was, whether our friends aboard firefly were ok... It was nice, it was a clear sky, bright glistening stars, it looked so peaceful...

We returned the next day and found ourselves looking into a grey crackling screen where there were once radar pictures, this wasn’t good news, what had happened? We still hadn’t been contacted, unless the screen was a message? Suddenly we heard laughter, evil laughter... Suddenly pictures from Firefly could be seen on the screen... What the hell? It... Showed... the inside of firefly... it showed... blood... bodies... bodies of... the crew, our friends... they had been cut up and throw in pieces around the ship... A quick flash of something hit the screen and disappeared, it was the life form... we didn’t see much of whoever it was but we saw it laugh... This was no friendly life form, what the hell had we discovered? The radar was replaced on the screen as the pictures of firefly disappeared, we noticed the huge fleet moving... moving towards earth... We had to inform the governments and the army...

Obviously we still had no intention to tell the public anything yet, it would cause unnecessary panic and chaos but we didn’t expect to see the new life form take control of all our television and communication networks to make an announcement... They briefly showed themselves and answered all of our questions as easy as that... This is our version of there announcement:

Imagine... Imagine earth as a paper ball; now imagine earth in a huge glass tank along with the stars, the planets and everything else. Now imagine outside that tank, something bigger than you ever imagined, aliens... aliens that created Humans, Earth, Animals and space. All we are is an experiment, we were created by them as a test, our blood is there oil and they even made us too re-produce ourselves. The sun is just a long lasting match they have given us for light, it is burning down to our deaths, maybe they'll replace it afterwards, who knows, but this is not our main threat, the aliens have made our enemies now, the new improved humans they removed the illnesses and diseases, they used our ideas to give them extreme powers like telepathy and teleportation, they even gave them better weapons. The chaos legion are on there way to exterminate us to claim earth to live on. This isn’t a war; it’s the final war, the apocalypse...

The news hit the world hard, they are called chaos for a reason, they had created more chaos than the world had ever seen, even in a movie. Everyone began fleeing there homes without even realising they had no where to run. Earth had shutdown, everyone for themselves, no law and order, this really was a situation... What was surprising though, all countries began talking to one another...

Each countries army was sent to join the others, bringing all mechanised vehicles and weapons to one base. They began preparing for chaos to land... Meanwhile riots began and most civilians ran to other places looking for safety but some formed a group naming themselves 'Rebels'. They announced they wouldn’t fight along side the army they would fight for a new world, their new world... They drove civilians out of towns and cities recruiting new soldiers at every point and gathering supplies to fight, they collected enough to fight a long drawn out battle as they didn’t know what was going to happen.

The rebels then set up their own base; Earth was now fighting itself and chaos. It’s amazing though, how apart from rebels all countries had forgot their differences and had come together to fight for earth and the people on it, it was a moment to treasure if nothing else. Chaos eventually entered earth’s atmosphere, everyone stood and stared into the sky...

Every soldier was nervous about the battle they would shortly see, they looked for commanding officers approval that everything was going to be ok but the officers were just as nervous looking into the sky as everyone else. Guns were being strangled instead of held, there had never been so much tension in the air, the cold war was a distant memory to what lied ahead now. Even though Rebels and the human army were now enemies they were more scared of what chaos would bring than each other. Hours went by without communication; all sides sat stationary waiting for the war to begin. It’s amazing how quickly the situation had come; we didn’t even know chaos existed a few days ago. It’s ironic; it’s New Year’s Day, the year 2045 now. It could be the last year mankind sees...

After two very long days chaos ships began landing, the neon glows coming from their ships were alien enough but when they started unloading their tanks and other machinery everyone was... to put it bluntly, petrified. It didn’t take very long for chaos to organise themselves... eventually there they stood... countless soldiers and countless weapons... Earth was now one giant battlefield for three teams to wage war for their New World, only one would be victorious. The Humans stood at their HQ, the Chaos at theirs and the Rebels at theirs, 3 bases, 3 teams, 1 war. All soldiers looked up waiting for a signal to charge and begin the fighting, suddenly a chaos neon flare rose to the sky, everyone’s eyes followed it through the air, it was like a huge green comet. Chaos instantly began moving triggering both humans and rebels to move too... The war had begun... The Final War... The Apocalypse...
